:: iPod Dream ::

Been sick for the last few days so have little time or not motivation to write in this blog. Things are moving to rapidly and unreal. Little did I notice that it's already friday. Our friend in the hospital is stating to recover, little by little. By prayer and faith we want to see her through. My throat hurts like crap and with every cough it just makes it worse.

This coming Sunday would be the final in the Tamiya Asia Cup Series and no matter what we need to compete in this final run of the series. If not we will not have a chance to join the actual Tamiya Asia Cup.

Oh and by the way the iPODs now come in full color screens. Very tempting. But then there is still the PSP which totally rocks. I think it's be just a matter of time before I purchase one. Perhaps I will wait for the GT edition before getting. The screen is starting to irritate me and the air is clogging my throat. Got to get out of here soon before I fall really sick.

:: United we Stand ::

Hello blog, there are things in life that I cannot explain nor comprehend. A friend who is jumping and running about during the last church camp met with an accident and is now in hospital with a broken leg and dislocated shoulder. The guy who drove the bike is in worse condition and died.

Once again setting me down to think of how fortunate I am to be protected by Christ. As lousy I feel, I need to stand strong for the younger ones. God is in control of everything, every single thing. So what is God trying to tell the guys in out church?

What really happened was that the two were making a U-turn when suddenly a cab crashed into them. I do not blame the fealla cause he's probably tired. But still there is the need for Taxi drivers to be more responsible when they use the road. Yes it is true they fetch us from point to point for a fare but what we are talking about here is lives. Young lives at that with a future, where is there no mechanism in our country to retrain the drivers and laws to make them drive safely?

Seriously speaking most Singapore drivers suck. Espicially those with souped up cars who race down the expressway and endanger the lives of other motorists. Why does the goverment disallow motorsports in a controlled environment forcing all motoring enthusiast to race down the small roads and express ways in Singapore.

The traffic police should enforce a penalty on taxi drivers who drive recklessly with not consideration for the other users of the public roads.

To all road users on the road, we are responsible for the lives of the people in our cars, yourself and other road users. This is a cry out to all those road users, please drive safe, drive only when you are alert and so not speed.

:: Rush of Life? ::

Every morning I would take the MRT at 8am from the Ang Mo Kio station. Many people and 3 uncles who give out Today newspaper greet me each morning as I board the train. Everyone is rushing to get to their destination. Like little soldier we march into the trains, up a escalator, down a flight of stairs. All we do in life is rush to work, earn out keep, lead a life, eat. Sometimes I just like to feel all so fortunate for my life. What my parents manage to provide. What I have, the people I know. I wonder sometime why I still complain about even the small little things like. How much money I have in my pcoket, is it enough to fill my tummy? When somewhere in the world some kid is starving and the $2 that you have left can make all so much a difference in one person's life/death.

I'm quite ashamed to be a Singaporean, not because I do not like this little Sunny island and the life we have. Please do not get me wrong, but the reason for being ashamed is because of the way we behave. We are very ungracious, discouteous and self centered. We see what we can gain, what we can have. This is the way of a meritocratic society we live in today. Even the little things in life we make such a big fuss about it.

We do not bust the tables, or in Singapore terms, clean up the table after meals. We leave it there and some old aunty will come over with a table cloth to clean up your mess for you. I have also seen many cases where we do not leave the lift door open when there is one walking towards the lift door. Where are we rushing to? Why the haste can we not just spend another minute to make another person's life more pleasent?

Another thing I learned from a friend a habit to fold up the news paper to a A4 size for reading on the bus/train. So many people are rushing to get to work, and we do not even have the courtesy to make room, we just allow the NEWSPAPER to get in the way. Why have we developed such a selfish society?

We as Singaporeans are Kay Po(KPO) busy-bodies who like to use eye power a lot. Read that some of us do not even bother to help we just slow down and look causing jams on the highway. So we slow down causing inconvenience to other road users and the worst thing is we slow down to look. Some look for 4D (Lottery) numbers, some look for wheather or not the person/persons are alive/injured/dead. It just gets more and more synical by the minute.

Our goverment encourages us to be couteous, united regardless of race or religion are we heading that direction? Have we forgotten what we live for as a nation. What we pride ourselves to be and what we are not? If that is so I see no meaning in our lives in this country. How can I make a difference to other people's lives? I feel so unfulfilled in my life. I need to do something about it.
